Check In Time.
Piet's Perch will be ready for you at 3pm.  If you have let us know your arrival time in town is before 3pm we will try to let you know if the cleaning team has it ready for you early.  

Location—2132 Fifth Avenue,XXX, Seattle, WA 98121
It’s a red brick building with white marble stairs called “Fifth Avenue Court” on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Blanchard. It’s located next door to local favorite, Top Pot Doughnuts. Use the main staircase to reach Piet’s Perch—it’s two flights up from the main floor.

Building Access
Enter the building using the intercom to the right of the main front door. The door code is XXXX.  Enter the code. The door will buzz. Pull the door open.  (BTW this same code (XXXX) works on the back door too).

Unit Access
We use a smart lock system for access to the Piet's Perch.  Your code is (XXXX). This is typically the last 4 digits of your registered phone number. Sometime there is a system conflict and it will vary from your phone number so be sure to use (XXXX). 

     To open the lock follow these steps
    1) Tap “Yale” button to activate keypad
    2) Input your code (XXXX) and press the checkmark (✓) to enter
    3) Open door by pressing down on the lever handle

    To lock the door whenever you leave
    1) Close the door and tap the “Yale” button and the door should lock
    2) Check that the door is locked by checking that the lever handle swings free without opening door
    3) Don't worry If you forget the door will automatically lock after 30 seconds.

Guestbook
Check out the ‘How’ tab of our guestbook for information on how things work in Piet's Perch. You’ll find the wifi password, as well as information on how to use the combination washer/dryer, radiator and other essentials. Under the ‘What’ tab you’ll find our recommendations for things to do and where we like to eat and drink in the neighborhood.

Light Rail (recommended) - Uber/Cab - Parking
We don’t recommend renting a car – you’ll be in the heart of the city with the major sites within walking distance. From the airport, you can grab an Uber/cab or take the Link light rail to the Seattle/Westlake station (we suggest using Exit A turn right as you exit to the street and another right on 5th Avenue) and you will be 4 blocks from the condo.

To take a day-trip outside the city, you can pick up a rental car at any of the major agencies. Avis, Hertz, Enterprise and Budget all have offices a short walk away.

Parking
If you do drive, we have two parking suggestions.

First a block away down 5th Avenue is a garage with 7x24 access -- Westin Building Garage - 2010 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121.  I think it is $32/night.

A more affordable option with 6am (7am Sunday) to Midnight access for $21/day (credit cards only) is the Day 1 Garage at 2120 6th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121.

Where can I leave my bags?
Prior to 3pm (and after the 11am check out) many guests have reported a positive experience using Vertoe.com for bag storage.  You can book in advance for $6/bag and select a location convenient for you.

Checking Out
Check Out is at 11am. Our cleaning team will be arriving shortly thereafter.

Please do start the dishwasher (Cascade pods are under the sink) Please do NOT use liquid dish soap in the dishwasher, it makes a terrible mess.  Please leave the sheets and towels for the team to gather and wash off-site.  As you leave please make sure the door is locked and send us a message that you've checked out.

House Rules.
Nothing onerous here – no smoking and please be considerate of your neighbors.  Noise can travel in the building especially between floors so early in the morning and in the evening please be sensitive to loud noises and footsteps just like you want the person on the floor above you to be!
